Glad to Meet you

Hi, I’m Rachel, and I decided to step out of the classroom after 29 years to explore new passions instead of just talking or dreaming about them.

Outside of being a teacher and a mom, my interests are career next steps, learning and education, wellness (despite my love for pizza and NA Guinness), travel, and storytelling. 

One thing I’ve heard from retired educators is that the loss of identity is difficult, especially for those of us who have been teachers our entire adult lives. My podcasts and Etsy shop are a way for me to explore a new adventure while also staying rooted in my education background by putting some of what I taught as an English and journalism teacher to the test. At the same time my goal is to connect with others looking to take their next steps in life, whether that be personal or career-related.
